Chez Brendan Sloan, la solitude écrasante n'est pas qu'une philosophie de vie : c'est une condition sine qua non de la création. Plus dissonant encore qu'Errata, Grievous est l'illustration du nom du groupe. Toute possibilité d'une tranquilité psychologique est menacée par une tempête de riffs convulsifs ("Inert").
